1. The type of hot melt adhesive film: (only the material type of hot melt adhesive film is discussed here)
The material type of hot melt adhesive is mainly divided according to its raw materials, which can be divided into: PA hot melt adhesive (with film and omentum), PES hot melt adhesive (with film and omentum), TPU hot melt adhesive (with Adhesive film and omentum), EVA hot melt adhesive (with adhesive film and omentum).
Each of the above types of hot melt adhesives can be divided into different models based on melting point, width, thickness, or grammage. At the same time, their properties are also different:
(1) PA hot melt adhesive: it has the characteristics of dry cleaning and washing resistance, low temperature resistance to minus 40 degrees, high temperature resistance above 120 degrees; functional PA hot melt adhesive has the characteristics of flame retardancy and resistance to boiling water at 100 degrees;
(2) PES hot melt adhesive: it has the characteristics of washing resistance and dry cleaning resistance, low temperature resistance to minus 30 degrees, high temperature resistance above 120 degrees, and high bonding strength;
(3) EVA hot-melt adhesive: slightly poor washing resistance, not dry-cleaning resistance, low melting point, low temperature resistance of minus 20 degrees, high temperature resistance of 80 degrees;
(4) TPU hot melt adhesive: it has the characteristics of washing resistance, not dry cleaning resistance, low temperature resistance of minus 20 degrees, high temperature resistance of 110 degrees, good tensile properties, and softness;
The above are the relevant characteristics of hot melt adhesives of different materials. Understanding these characteristics is essential for the selection of hot melt adhesive films. Therefore, we should pay attention to its product characteristics and specific applications when selecting hot melt adhesive films, so as to avoid the problem of wrong hot melt adhesive film selection or improper use.
Also pay attention to the precautions of each hot melt adhesive film during use, such as pressing temperature, pressure, pressing time, etc.
